Zela "Faye" Sites, 92, Marion, went to her Heavenly Home at 10:15 pm on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, August 18, 1932, to Quincy and Hazel (Roe) Small.
Faye graduated from Swayzee High School in 1950. She worked at Paul Grain Elevator for over 30 years and then retired from the Grant County Clerks Office as a bookkeeper. She attended Maple Run Friends Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, working on puzzles, and going camping. She loved cooking and was famous for her chicken noodles and her brownies. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their sports was a favorite pastime. She was also a proud Purdue fan, Boiler Up!
The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and staff at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehab for their wonderful care.
Survivors include her daughter, Janelle Wilson of Gas City; son, Gary (Elva) Sites of Fairmount; grandchildren, Jamie (David) Rahrar, Heather (David) Walker, Eric Sites, and Sarah (Paul) Chapman; great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Nick Drougas) Rahrar, Gabby (Matt) Howard, Blake Chapman, Olivia Chapman, Aida Sites, Savannah Sites, Danan Walker, Brynnly Walker, and Bailey Walker; special friend, Irene; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Quincy Oliver and Hazel Marie Small; former husband, Doyne Leo Sites; daughter, Barbara Buck; son, Kenneth Sites; brothers, Vaughn Small, Ralph Small; sisters, Cleo Gibson and Esther Cates; and son-in-law, John Wilson.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Maple Run Friends Church 4460 W. 400 S., Marion, IN 46953.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Faye's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Key officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
