Zelda Reva “Bucky” Profeta, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, with her cherished family by her side.
Bucky was born on September 16, 1939, in Celina, Ohio, to Meyer and Esther Wahl. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Morris “Mo” Profeta, and together they shared 66 devoted years of marriage built on love, laughter, and deep faith.
Bucky was known for her terrific sense of humor, adventurous spirit, independence and a love of baking. She loved to travel, scuba dive, and camping. A determined entrepreneur, she owned and operated her own lawn care company, and she was also a remarkably skilled typist. Her energy, warmth, quick wit, and determination, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Bucky and Mo were steadfastly devoted to one another and to their Sephardic Jewish community. They were proud and active members of Etz Chaim Congregation, where their faith and friendships flourished.
She is survived by her loving husband, Morris “Mo” Profeta; her children, Dr. Louis Profeta (Sheryl), Robin Gotlib (Dr. Josh), and Marni Gordon (Selwyn); and her treasured grandchildren, Max, Eli, Zachary, Hadassah, Sara, Eliezer, Moshe Meyer, and Zehavah, and great grandchildren, Meir Simcha, Gavriel Meir and Miri.
