Zella Robinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, love, and creativity that touched countless lives.

Born on February 28, 1932, in Yoakum, Texas, to Emma Eugene Bilton and Charles Enoch, Zella’s life was marked by resilience, grace, and a deep commitment to the people she loved and cherished. She graduated from Carver High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and later graduated from Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On June 6, 1967, Zella married the love of her life, Adlert “Robby” Robinson, in Sacramento, California. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Zella dedicated over 40 years of service as a secretary for the federal government in the Civil Service Department, where her diligence and professionalism left a lasting impression.

A woman of deep faith, Zella founded the first Vacation Bible School at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Sacramento. Her musical talents blessed many congregations, as she served as pianist for several churches, bringing joy and facilitating worship through her gifted hands.

Zella’s creativity extended beyond music. She was a master of crochet and a gifted seamstress, crafting beauty into every stitch. She established the Latch Key After-school Program at the Tender Love and Care Teaching and Learning Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, providing a safe and enriching environment for school-aged children of working parents.

Zella was a fighter—unyielding in spirit and fierce in her protection of those she loved. She stood as a champion for women, advocating for their empowerment and uplifting those around her with wisdom and grace. As a mentor, friend, and counselor, Zella offered guidance, comfort, and inspiration to many. Her presence was a beacon of strength and compassion, and her legacy continues in the lives she touched, the hearts she healed, and the paths she helped illuminate.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Enoch; her brother, James Eddie Enoch; and her sister, Charles Wray Enoch Jackson. She is survived by her loving husband, Adlert “Robby” Robinson; her sons, Charles, Elwin, and Martin, and her daughter, Susan, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Zella Mae Robinson’s life was a tapestry of love, service, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
