Zelma Marie Martin 89, of Cisco, Texas went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born August 28, 1936 in Killeen, Texas, in Bell County, to Raymond Alonze and Pauline Elizabeth Bell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max Martin; father, Raymond Alonzo Bell; mother, Pauline Elizabeth Bell; brothers, Henry Bell and Lonnie Bell; and sister, Ramona Brown.
Mrs. Marie is survived by her children, Robert Allen and wife Erica of Iowa Park, Texas, Deborah Thomas Neves and husband Ernie of Cisco, Texas, Richard Allen and wife Robbie of Cross Plains, Texas, Bridgette Green and Troy Botts of Snyder, Texas, and Paula Keeney and husband Jerry of Springtown, Texas. She also leaves many grandchildren, Jennifer Wuthrich, Cody Allen, Carlton Thomas, Clayton Thomas, Ricky Allen, Russell Allen, Rachelle O'Bryant, Randy Green, Josh Green, Chris Keeney, and Ryan Keeney; and many great grandchildren who were so precious to her.
She graduated from Ysleta High School and went on to beautician school at Tri State Beauty College. After graduating college, she worked as a beautician in May, Texas for many years, and also in Rising Star, Texas. Mrs. Marie's life reflected her love for the Lord in so many ways.
She taught Sunday School for many years, played the piano in church, gave ladies bible devotions, was a devoted preachers wife, and used the gift God gave her with a beautiful voice to sing praises to our Lord.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by many. She touched so many lives and that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Services for Zelma Marie Martin will be a visitation at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Saturday September 13, 2025 from 10 until 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13th at the May Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to the Cross Plains Cancer Fund or Cross Plains Senior Citizens, c/o Dannes Turner, 108 N. Main St, Cross Plains, Texas 76443
