Zenaida "Zeny" Lazanas Ankrah was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on May 1, 2025, at the age of 69. A proud native of Maring, Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines, she was born on January 22, 1956, to Victorino and Leoncia, growing up alongside her eight siblings: Mario, Aniceto, Linda, Danny, Tony, Donata, Obet, and Jesse.
From a young age, Zeny stood out as the cherished "Daddy's Girl." Her infectious spirit shone through her love of music and dance, whether it be Hawaiian or ballet. With hair cascading to her knees, she embodied grace and beauty, accompanied by a heart that generously embraced those in need. In 2000, Zeny's life took a beautiful turn when she met Peter on a snowy day while waiting for a ride. His kind offer marked the beginning of their extraordinary journey together. Their bond grew unbreakable, leading to a joyous marriage three years later, September 12, 2003.
Zeny was a devoted mother to three children. Jeff, the eldest, is married to Cathy and is the proud father of three, Kyle, Kayla and Kyler. Jonathan, the second child, has four children: Abby, Thea, Veronica and Primo. Fritzie, the youngest, married Shannon. Zeny's love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Zeny worked as a nanny, poured her heart into caring for the children she looked after, treating them as of they were her own. In recent years, Zeny faced serious medical challenges with remarkable courage and an unwavering smile. Her resilience in the face of adversity exemplified her strength and character. The deep sorrow felt by all who loved her speaks volumes about the impact she had on their lives.
Zeny's memory will forever be etched into the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and an unforgettable spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.
