Zenaida C. Rodriguez, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Madera, California. Born on May 11, 1929, in Manila, Philippines, Zenaida was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.

Zenaida was born to Rosario Padilla Ripoll and Arthur Matthews, both of whom have passed before her. She was the beloved wife of two remarkable men during her lifetime. Her first husband, Octavio M. Cuaderno, shared a beautiful life with her until his passing. Later, she found love again with Rafael O. Rodriguez, a World War II army veteran, who also preceded her in death. Zenaida's sister, Conchita Barranco, stepson Miguel Cuaderno, IV, and her parents welcomed her into eternal rest.

Despite these losses, Zenaida's legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Charmaine (Geoff) Ruscoe and Karen (Jean-Claude) Roget; her sons, Octavio (Teresita) Cuaderno and Alexander (Vivian) Cuaderno; and her stepchildren, Veronica Banas, Brenda (Raymond) Somes, Dessie Austria, Jean Peckson, Mark Rodriguez, and Ray Rodriguez. Her sister Cecile (Denny) Fulgheri will cherish the memories of their sisterly bond. Zenaida's grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life, will miss her dearly.

Zenaida was a proud graduate of Maryknoll College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. Her career began as a dedicated teacher in the Philippines.

Her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to establish a bamboo craft business and a clothing line of her own design, where her creativity and eye for beauty flourished. Zenaida had a lovely sense of style and took joy in looking her best, always adding a touch of bling that reflected her cheerful spirit. Above all, she embraced the role of homemaker, devoting her life to the care, happiness, and well-being of her family.

A devout Christian, Zenaida was an active member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church. Her involvement with the Frank Bergon Center and the Central California Big Band Dance Society of Fresno reflected her love for community and dance. Zenaida's loving, kind, and friendly nature was evident to all who knew her.

Zenaida's life was a beautiful mosaic of love, resilience, and grace. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the countless lives she touched. Her spirit, characterized by warmth and generosity, will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Zenaida Rodriguez will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will endure in the hearts of her family and friends. She is now joyfully reunited with her loved ones, dancing gracefully along the golden streets of heaven.
