To the Johnson Family.
There are no words that I can express to take away the pain. I served with Johnson at 2nd Radio Bn. He was a funny guy. He was always fun to be around and would always have something smart to say. We always had some good laughs together.
I am so sorry to hear of this news and hope you guys stay well and are able to stay strong and remember all the fun you all had together.
With Love!

To the Johnson Family,
We served together, and also we roommates, Zhivago was a good guy, good sense of humor, and with a good personality, we had a lot of laughs. My heart goes out to you all, there are no words, that I have to ease you're pain, but hang in there the best you can, and remember the good times.
With love and respect,
John Cavalieri

I first Zhivago in Knox 2006 and I wanted him at every cookout I had as a young soldier. I had just gotten married and could only cook the soul food dishes I learned from my father. He joked on me so badly because I couldn't figure out to fry my meats extra crispy and told me he'd learn me something. Despite being the tall boisterous guy, when I'd chat with him, he was always so kind. When we crossed paths again upon relocating to South Fulton, Ga, he was the first person I reached out to. I went to visit him and it was like no time had passed. He was always welcoming despite whatever mood he was in and one never forgets that. The love he held for his family was undeniable. I want to send my condolences because although this resonated with me, I know his family is even more stricken with grief from this unexpected tragedy. Rest easy, Vago. You've been strong a very long time.
