Damon Johnson Obituary
Damon will always be known for his rambunctious energy and his stubborn personality. Damon always made sure to be the center of attention no matter where he went. He enjoyed making people laugh and spending quality time with those he loved. He enjoyed music and dancing, and was always down for adventure!
Damon has always been surrounded by the love of the community.
He leaves behind many friends here on earth and now reunited with friends and family who passed before him.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, Jose Roman, Damon is survived by his brothers; Jessie Johnson and wife, Krystin (Richardson) and Darius Johnson and wife, Abbie; grandfather, Danny Harriman; aunts, Denise and Crystal Johnson; uncle, Wayne Johnson; many cousins and extended family and friends whom will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack Johnson and Patsy Harriman and his sister, Jerika Roman.
He will always be known as a lover and a fighter!
Damon will always be remembered, and forever be loved.
From mommy's little pooh bear to Dame Choppo, we loved every moment in between.
A Visitation will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Damon's grandfather, Dan Harriman officiating. Memorials may be made in Damon's honor to the Johnson Family, in care of Jessie Johnson.
