October 11, 1933 to March 13, 2024
Zhong Xin Jin (Johnson, passed away at Brigham and Women's Hospital on March 13, 2024. Beloved husband of 55 years and love of his life of Yu Ru Zhang of Brighton MA, and formerly Shanghai China. Doting father of his only daughter Yiqi Jin and her husband Qi Li of Newton MA. Loving grandfather to Julian Li and Sophie Li of Newton MA. Also survived by many sisters and cousins and nephews and nieces in China.
Born in Shanghai China in 1933 to a tea merchant family as the only male, his destiny was turned upside down during the Sino-Japanese war and under communist rule. He was a dedicated, much adored high school math teacher for over 30 years. A true Renaissance man in his time, he excelled in writing and directing plays to coaching, to creating a professional school. Outside of his job, everyone was drawn to him naturally and looked up to him for his wisdom, knowledge, humor and leadership. After he retired, in 2003 he and his wife moved to Boston to join their daughter's family. They are long time resident of 2Life Community in Brighton MA.
Visiting in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave Brighton on Sunday, March 17th from 9:00-10:00am, followed by memorial service.
