Zlatko Atanasov Stoyanov

Zlatko Stoyanov, 77 passed away on October 27, 2025 at his home in Pompano Beach, FL. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Atanaska, and his children, son Orlin (Betza) of Coconut Creek, FL and daughter Silva of Coral Springs, FL.

Zlatko was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on February 22nd 1948 and graduated from high school in 1967. He had an early passion for music and taught himself to play guitar which resulted in his forming one of the very first rock bands in Bulgaria in 1966. He married his wife in 1973 and they raised two children before moving to the United States in 1990.

Zlatko had a deep passion for the ocean and sailing. He was an accomplished Captain and had sailed and traveled the world over. During his lifetime he was awarded several times with government issued medals for achievements in his line of work as a crew foreman in the 1970s and after moving to the United States he founded his own painting and remodeling business. He retired in 2008 to spend time on things he enjoyed, like boating and working on his numerous projects at his warehouse which he loved doing.

He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and a friend to many and his loss cannot be expressed in words, but his spirit will live on in the many hearts he touched during his life.
