Zoey Schwan Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Zoey Yvonne Schwan, who entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2025. Born on March 28, 2020, in Randolph County, Zoey graced this world with her presence for five precious years. She departed from us at Randolph Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of joy and love that will be cherished forever. Zoey possessed an infectious personality that brightened the lives of all who knew her. With a spirit that radiated happiness, she never met a stranger and filled every room with her warmth and laughter. Her zest for life was evident in her love for music and dancing, and she delighted in playing with her Barbies and watching her favorite stories like "Lilo and Stitch" and "Moana." A little adventurer at heart, Zoey loved swimming and wrestling with her dad, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and wonder. Though young, she had an appreciation for life's simple joys, bringing light and laughter to those around her-except when it came to zucchini, which she resolutely refused to entertain. Zoey is survived by her devoted parents, James and Tiffany Tomlin of Liberty; her biological mother, Autumn Williamson of Asheboro; her cherished siblings, Damian Jones and family of Franklinville, Thomas Coley, Jr. and family of Trinity, Danielle Tillotson of Liberty, Christian Cabeza of Liberty, James Henry Tomlin of Liberty, Riley Tomlin of Liberty, Remi Locklear of Asheboro, and Raidyn Ratliff of Asheboro. She also leaves behind her loving grandmother, Tonya Williamson of Asheboro, grandfather, John Dugger of Lexington, and her great-grandparents, Edwin Jones of Liberty, Beth Surmons of Asheboro, and Wendy Palmer of Advance of who will all carry her memory forward in their hearts. Services to honor and celebrate Zoey's beautiful life will be held at Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holliness Church, 7991 Ferguson Rd, Ramseur, NC. A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 3-5 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. in the church, officiated by Rev. Bruce Clark and Rev. Shaun Greene. Zoey's radiant spirit touched everyone she encountered, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, sweet Zoey, in the arms of angels.
