On Saturday March 14,2026, Zona Pearl Harper, age 91, passed away peacefully in Jackson,Tn. She was born on March 5,1935. She was a former factory worker and homemaker. She is survived by a daughter; Debbie Fenton of Platte City, MO., a son; Michael (Carla) Harper of Lexington, TN. and 3 grandchildren; Sean Jarmillo, Jason Jarmillo, and Alexis Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, J.T. Harper, her parents, Wesley and Tennie Burnine, 5 siblings, Marie Armstrong, Annie Byrd, Cecil Burnine, Herman Burnine, and Elmer Burnine, and a grandson, Justin Martin. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and 2 very special friends, Jean Duffer and Ms Mary Beecham who she loved dearly. Zona loved her family, making crafts, playing bingo and watching Gunsmoke but most of all she loved the Lord and being a light for him everyday. She was a resident of the Heritage Place Assisted Living since September of 2015. She loved each and every employee that worked there. They were a part of her family. With her smile and outgoing personality she had a way of making people love her. Over the past few years with her numerous stays in the hospital and acute care, no matter how sick she was, the doctors, nurses and employees immediately fell in love with her each and every time. She made a lasting impression on everyone she ever met and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 17 at 1PM at Reed's Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday March 16 4PM-8PM and Tuesday 10AM until time of service.
