Zona Weyenberg, 83, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born on September 16, 1941, the cherished daughter of Raymond and Charolette Zephirin. Zona married the love of her life, Ronald Weyenberg, on April 30, 1960.
Zona went to school to become a nurse. She had a deep love for knitting, especially making hats and scarves for her family. Zona also enjoyed cooking and was known as a dedicated coupon clipper.
Family gatherings were often filled with laughter and games, especially the dice game 10,000. Zona and her husband Ronald loved spending time at their timeshare at Nicolet Shores Resort and looked forward to going on cruises together.
Zona was the family’s unofficial photographer and was rarely seen without a camera in her hands, always ready to capture life’s special moments.
She was a proud Packers fan and enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines. Zona is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Weyenberg; her loving sons: Brian (Diane) Weyenberg; Gary Weyenberg (special friend Kim Johnson); David (Lisa) Weyenberg; and Mark Weyenberg.
She was a proud grandmother to: Michael (Stefanie) Weyenberg; Ryan Weyenberg; Curtis (Molly) Weyenberg; Taylor Weyenberg (fiancé Katelyn Anderson); Cassie Weyenberg (fiancé Seth Thomas); Laura (Tad) Dontje; Sierra (Anthony) Sladkov; Aspen Weyenberg; Wren Weyenberg; Justin (Amber) Weyenberg; Alexander Weyenberg; and Megan Weyenberg.
Zona was a cherished great-grandmother to: Asia (Jacob) Mayville; Soren Weyenberg; Hunter Weyenberg; Brooke Weyenberg; Maci Weyenberg; Archer Weyenberg; Griffin Weyenberg; Landon Dontje; Levi Dontje; and Remy Weyenberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Billy and Craig Zephirin; and her daughter-in-law, Beth Weyenberg. Funeral services to celebrate Zona’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 620 E Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
