Dennis Simpson Obituary

Dennis Craig Simpson, 78, of Napa, California, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2025. Born in Albany, California, to a family deeply rooted in faith and hard work, Dennis's life was a testament to service, love, and resilience.

A devoted husband to Linda for 54 years, and proud father to Maracie and Kealani, Dennis's legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, Zaira, Livia, and Phoenix. He was a gifted educator, compassionate mentor, and dedicated community leader, whose career spanned decades in special education and service to others.

A man of many talents, Dennis excelled in the arts, carpentry, and marksmanship. He was a devoted volunteer and a strong advocate for children's causes, both locally and internationally, through the Zoz Amba Foundation. His love for nature, deep faith, and quiet generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, daughters, grandchildren, and a wide circle of family, friends, and students whose lives he touched. His enduring commitment to service and his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. Dennis Craig Simpson

I am so sorry to hear of Dennis's death. I frequently ran into him downtown, saw him only recently, and always enjoyed catching up with him. I worked with him for many years at Napa State Hospital and enjoyed his calm demeanor and his ability to defuse tense situations with his slightly sardonic humor. He was a good man.

Wish I could have attended the memorial to express my condolences.
I remember many athletic encounters with Dennis both in HS & college.
