Drew Cox Obituary

It is with incredibly broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor and friend, Drew Allan Cox. He was born in Napa on October 31, 1960 and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on February 14, 2025.

Drew made countless friends throughout his career in sales and management in the car industry. He was respected for his knowledge, devotion, honesty, and willingness to go the extra mile. Known for being the hardest working man in any room, he dedicated many years to Kastner Honda GMC until his devastating cancer diagnosis in May of 2024.

Growing up, Drew spent much of his time at the Napa Bowl and Bel-Aire Bowl, where he became a professional bowler and met his wife Jeannette, through a mutual friend. Over the years, he bowled countless 300-point games. Although his professional bowling career was short-lived due to his desire to be with his family, it was a significant part of his life.

From a young age, Drew had a deep love of music and frequently attended live concerts with family and friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting sporting clays and attending sporting events with his kids. He loved fast cars, hot rods, Nascar, drag racing, attending car shows, and an occasional smokey burnout.

Family meant the world to Drew. He formed individual connections with each of his children and took the time to engage in their interests. He cherished watching his three grandchildren grow up and the time he spent with them.

Drew loved driving and traveling. If you ever rode with him, you experienced his unique shortcuts, which often added extra time to the trip. He and Jeannie traveled as much as possible, embarking on new adventures every wedding anniversary. They truly valued this time together.

Always ready to help anyone, Drew was a kind-hearted soul with a beautiful smile. His voice of reason, optimism and ability to see the bright side of any situation were notable traits, sometimes described as encouraging or a bit annoying depending on the number of cocktails shared.

Drew was a devoted father, husband and friend to so many. His selflessness, strength, compassion, sense of humor and patience will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Jean Cox and his sister Debbie Pridmore. He is survived by his wife Jeannette Cox of 43 years, his siblings Don, Donna and Dallan Santos, his children Davon Cox, Darcy Vizuet (Aissen), Brett Cox and Billy Cox (Skylar), his grandchildren, Madeline, Jullien and Lorelei Vizuet as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Drew's life will be held at the Napa Elks Lodge located at 2840 Soscol Ave, Napa on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

I was so sad to hear of Drew's passing. I knew Drew when he worked at Victory Chevrolet Commercial Department and shared many laughs with him, Sandi, Rod and both Rons. He was such a sweet person and he always found ways to help me find business at the dealerships he worked at. I will miss seeing his smiling face at Kastner. Such a loss for all of us whose lives he touched.

I still can't believe that I will never see Drew again
He and Jeanette are such a part of my 1980's at Napa Bowl memories -we were such a big, mostly happy family then-the best memories!
I remember watching Drew bowl countless 300 games, he was also great at darts. There will never be a smile like Drew's - he was a kind, humble and amazing human
