Patricia Forrest Obituary

On Monday, March 4, Patricia (Pat) Forrest passed away at 82 years young. Pat was born on February 16th, 1942 in Ellsworth, Maine to John and Edith Sullivan(Meserve) in Ellsworth, Maine.

She was a 1960 graduate of Ellsworth High School, and was blessed to keep friends with many of her school mates thru the years.

Pat was married to James (Jim) C. Forrest on April 10, 1963. She was a proud Navy wife and lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Pensacola, Florida; Adak, Alaska (Pat's favorite base); Misawa, Japan; and finally Napa, California in 1976.

In addition to raising her kids; Anne Marie and Dan, Pat worked and volunteered in many positions, including as a realtor, a travel and tourism coordinator where she met visitors from around the world to help them get the most out of the beautiful Napa Valley, and volunteered in a local hospice. Pat and Jim later volunteered as camp hosts for Sonoma County Regional Parks in Bodega Bay, California for 14 years. She loved visiting lighthouses, chatting up the fishermen as they returned with their catch, eating (and introducing her grand kids to) seafood, thrift shopping, and digging for agates on the beach. Pat and Jim were also able to travel in their RV to explore the West Coast and volunteer at other campgrounds.

In 2020, Pat moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico where she quickly formed a community of friends. Again volunteering at both the Books Revisited Store and The Alamogordo Senior Center. She was able to spend time with many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the area.

Pat is pre-deceased by her husband Jim and son Dan. She is survived by her sister Ruth Foster; nieces Jennifer Libby and Jacqueline Dearborn; (whom have been a joy to her life) her daughter Anne Marie Pistilli and her husband Tony; her favorite daughter-in-law Mary; grandchildren Noah, Andrew, Eric, Gabriel, Abigail, Anna, Da'Vondre, Whitley, and Jordan; and great-grandchildren; Maleah, Rebeccah, Reya, Norah, Kyrian, and Marcellus, to include; Marcus due in April and Louisa expected in May.

Pat will be remembered for her dry humor, as a social butterfly, her Mainer expressions ("pahk the cah in the yahd"), and the immense love for her family. She was an amazing woman that will be missed by many in Napa, Alamogordo, Oregon, Maine, Chicago, and beyond.

While she is no longer with us, we know Pat is somewhere enjoying an ocean-side cod sandwich with Jim, Dan, and the many friends she made along the way.

Love you, Grandma Forrest

Pat Forrest was with Century 21 Real Estate in the 70s and I was a newbie agent...Pat always had a good word and a great sense of humor whenever our paths crossed in the business world. Good gal!

Pat was not in Alamogordo long, but she made an impact on many the short time she was here. She loved Books Revisited and the numerous friends she made there as well as the Senior Center. Music was a great part of her life, and she supported all of our local musicians. She watched numerous National athletic events on tv regardless of the day or time, and was a great hostess. Her neighbors and new friends meant the world to her in her new community, and the front door was always open.
Pat was loved and will be missed in the numerous circle of friends she made.

I remember when Pat and Jim would come to Oregon to watch Noah and Andy play baseball. We would go to baseball tournaments and campout. It was so much fun with the Forrest clan. Happy memories we will never forget. Donna and Mackenzie Gage

My Wife and I worked with Pat back in 1983 and she helped us buy a house in Browns Valley. We appreciated all the hard work she did for us. I will always remember all the work she did to get us established in our new home.
