Dwayne Selk

Age 74, of Tucson, formerly of Naperville; beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away May 12, 2009 in Tucson, AZ. Dwayne was born on October 14, 1934 in Lincoln, NE. On July 13, 1956 he married his life- long love and companion Shirley Catherine (Faulhaber) Selk. Together they welcomed into the world three children and four grandchildren. Dwayne was a member of the Community Church of Saddlebrooke. His passions were golf, family, and traveling. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; and his children, son, Rick and his wife, Susan of Aurora, IL; daughter, Catherine Smith of Naperville, IL, and son, Ronald of Carbon Hill, IL; included also are four granddaughters, Amanda, Megan, and Hanna Selk, and Sarah Smith; his sister, Jacqueline Sapp of Lincoln, NE, and many nieces and nephews. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Charlotte Selk; sisters-in-law, Virginia Sutter, Darleen Faulhaber, and Ann Faulhaber; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Faulhaber and Oliver Sapp. Dwayne lived in Naperville for 31 years and was founder and owner of Seating Concepts in Plainfield, IL before relocating to Tucson. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made to the charity of your choice.
