Jesse Hernandez

Jesse Hernandez, age 77, of Plainfield, formerly of Naperville, IL and Fayetteville, and Atlanta, GA, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Edward Hospital of Naperville. He was born June 30, 1944 in San Antonio, TX to his late parents, Jesus and Stella Hernandez. Cherished husband of Diane Hernandez, nee Harris, wedded 54 years. Beloved father of Michael Hernandez of Plainfield, IL and Stephen (Brenda nee Andrist) Hernandez of Lemont, IL. Adored Papa of Kyle and Owen Hernandez, Emily and Evan Hernandez. Brother of Gloria Rodriguez, John Hernandez, and Mary Louise Hernandez. Jesse graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, San Antonio, TX, class of 1962. He enlisted into the US Army after High School for 3 years. After his military career, he went onto Georgia State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, as Magna Cum Laude. He went to work for Standard Oil Company which later became BP Amoco. Jesse retired as IT Systems Analyst retiring after 30 years of service. Jesse enjoyed watching TV, dining out, his orange juice and his hobby of aquariums. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Diabetes Association. Visitation: Tuesday, November 16th 4:00-8:00 PM at Oveman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544.
