Kalman Gold Bonita Springs, FL
Kalman Gold, 78, of Bonita Springs and Sylvania, OH, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at his Florida home.
A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, he was an obstetrician and gynecologist in Toledo, OH for 34 years. He served as both Chief of Staff and Chief of OB/GYN at Flower Hospital. While practicing medicine fulltime, he graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law. He also was an accomplished amateur golfer, having won numerous club championships and senior club championships at his golf clubs.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Arlynne (Lynne); son, Brian (Janie) Gold; daughter, Susan (Mark) Mehall; brother, Edward (Francine) Gold; sister-in-law, Donna Wexler; and his four grandsons, Michael (Brigit) Cain, Jonathan Gold, Jordan Gold, and Jake Gold.
Memorial services will be held at future dates in both Bonita Springs and Toledo, OH.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dr. Gold may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or a charity of choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.

Gold Family,
I would just like to express my condolences as you are no doubt going through a very difficult time. I had the oppourtunity to train with Kal for several months and I can honestly say that his gregarious nature and warm smile was something that I looked forward to every day. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I have a lot of fond memories in his office. He deleviered both of my children and also did my hysterrectomy. He was a fantastic doctor and an extra special person. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

My condolences to Dr. Gold's family. I have many fond memories of my visits to his office and credit him with being able to fit into my skinny jeans after each pregnancy!

I'm so sorry to hear about Dr. Gold, he delivered all of my kids, my first being on July 4 1980 and was 1 pound 10 ounces, Dr. Gold was so caring and concerned and we appreciated his concern.He was a wonderful person and doctor.

My cousin Kalman was quite a sweet man, like his brother Eddie. His Aunt Mollie, my grandmother, loved the Gold brothers and their families very much, so I heard lots of wonderful stories throughout my childhood and young adulthood. My condolences to Arlynne and their children.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Dear Mrs. Gold(Arlynne),Children and grandchildren,
My heart goes out to you in passing of your husband, father and grandfather.
I'm so grateful to have had the special memory of last seeing and greeting both of you with a hug and kiss (as normal) on the cheek when I saw you both at SCC dinner time a short time ago. Seeing you both in lounge from time to time was always a highlight to my evening.
I know the countless good deeds and unselfish gestures of Kal have touched many lives leaving a legacy of a good man. A good man is gone and his absence is felt. He made a difference. The world won't be the same without him. He will never be forgotten.

My condolences to the Gold family. Dr. Gold was the best OB/GYN in the city of Toledo, he delivered all four of my children and helped me through two miscarriages. I could always joke around with him, he will be greatly missed.

Dr. Gold delivered our daughter in 1974. I had serious health problems needing surgery before I was able to think of pregnancy. Dr. Gold, at no charge, actually sat in on the removal of my kidney, which was preventing my pregnancy. This wonderful doctor played such a huge roll in helping me become a mother that my daughter's middle initial is "K" to remind me of his sacrifice of time. I am blessed to have known Dr. Gold. I pray that God holds his family close to His heartbeat.

To the family of Dr. Gold, Sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Gold. He delivered my daughter in 1981 and my son in 1988.I appreciate and remember the care given to me. I had some complications and he made sure I was on bed rest prior to the children being born. I pray that God will comfort you during this difficult time.

Dr. Gold was a wonderful Doctor, he delivered all four of my daughters. And now, I'm waiting for my first grandchild next March, I think of him often. I am so sorry for the family. May God grant him eternal rest.
