Peter Joseph Winchell, 22, of Port Charlotte, passed away in Tallahas see, FL, on July 30, 2012. Born on February 21, 1990 in New Haven, CT to Mark and Angelle Winchell, Peter relocated to Florida with his family in 1992.
Growing up in Naples, Peter attended Naples High School prior to receiving a bachelor's degree from Baylor University in 2011. He was enlisted in the Navy, awaiting his deployment on August 15, 2012.
Peter avidly enjoyed hiking, kayaking, sky diving, camping, environmental science and video games, but most of all, loved spending time with his family. He was also a Christian and recently completed Bible school.
Peter was predeceased by his mother, Angelle; and grandfather, Joseph Collins.
He is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Lisa; brother, Joshua; grandmother, Barbara Collins; and many other caring family members and friends.
Donations to assist the family with Peter's final expenses may be made out and mailed to Mark Winchell, 13650 Fiddlesticks Blvd., Suite 202-165, Ft. Myers, FL 33912.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9th (TODAY), from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 4:00 p.m., at New Hope Ministries, 7675 Davis Blvd., Naples, 34104. Inurnment will be private.

Christmas blessings to you Peter in Heaven. Your mother Angelle was my childhood and high school friend from long ago in Old Saybrook, CT. I did not know she passed away before I could find her again. May you both be in Heaven in God's loving embrace. Please tell your mother Angelle I miss her . Hopefully she didn't pass away alone.
