Ruby L. Miller, January 23, 1921 to March 7, 2011, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and three daughters and was welcomed into heaven on March 7, 2011.
Ruby was a seasonal resident of Naples at the Wilderness Country Club for the past 28 years. She was a former resident of Anderson, IN. Ruby was an avid bridge player, enjoyed golfing and her bible study group. She treasured her dear friends along her life's journey and was known for her compassionate and generous heart.
As an active member of Moorings Presbyterian Church she was involved in helping others, especially the children's mentoring program.
Ruby was preceded in death by her former husbands Joseph D. Rich, the father of her three daughters, and Stewart Garlic, and four of her dear sisters. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband of 11 years Dr. R.Drew Miller; her daughters, Cynthia Lawrence, Lora Rich, and Randa (Jack) Hulse. Also her new family Judy (Tim) Halnon, Cheri Miller and Randy (Anne) Miller. Ruby is survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, her brother, Max; and sister, Jeanette.
The family wishes to thank Avow Hospice for her care at the Georgeson Hospice House and continuing care at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., Moorings Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moorings Presbyterian Church Mission Causes or Senior Friendship Health Clinic Collier.
