Nathan T. Gee

1983 - 2025

Nathan T. Gee, born Dec. 29, 1983, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was a beloved son, father, partner, and friend. Nathan, a man full of life, was known for his willingness to help those around him and he lived a simple yet vibrant life.
He leaves behind his loving mother and stepfather, Debra and Barry Martin; his cherished daughter, Khloe Gee; his father, Michael Gee; his siblings, brothers Jason Gee, Nick Martin and wife Crystal Martin, Adam Smith and wife Amber Smith, and Zack Martin, and sister, Brandy Gee. Nathan's girlfriend, Sara Shack, and his best friends and fishing buddies, Donnell Washington and Jay Carter, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, will forever hold him in their hearts.
Nathan was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Ruth Augustine and Opal Rosier; grandmothers, Carol Johnson and Marilyn Smith; his grandfather who he was so proud to be named after, Willie T. Gee, and many other beloved family members.
Nathan attended Bradford County Schools and was a man of many trades. Most recently, he worked for Meridian Waste of Nassau County. He was an outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, bonfires, oysters, and some cold ones with good friends. His love for the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing, whether it be on shores of the beach, the banks of a big river or a small creek. Unless he started catching those pesky salt water catfish and then he was ready to reel in his line and go home. Nathan reeled in his line one last time and called heaven his home. Fish on, Nathan. Fish on.
A celebration of life service for Nathan will be held Sept. 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Harvest Church in Hilliard, Florida, officiated by Pastor Dave Cubbedge.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away," (Revelation 21:4).
