Cyril Baldwin Obituary
Cyril Crockett Baldwin Jr, 86, of Vero Beach, Fla, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Dec 21, 2013
He was born and raised in South Orange, NJ Cyril graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in chemical engineering after serving in the Navy He was married for 58 years to Loel Amberg
Cyril worked for Stauffer Chemical, ARCO and in 1981, founded Cambrex with partner, Art Mendolia Cambrex, a specialty chemical company, brought many life-saving and innovative products to market Cambrex went public in 1995
Cyril was an avid skier and golfer and belonged to numerous clubs and groups He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan
He is survived by his brother, Theodore Baldwin; wife, Loel Baldwin; daughter, Shelby McChord; son, Trip Baldwin; and three grandchildren
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him A private memorial service will be held in the spring
