John Pryor Obituary

John Davis Pryor
John Davis Pryor, 61, passed away in Largo, Florida, on October 23, 2023, after a long illness. He is survived by his sister, Ann Pryor-Miller of Stamford, Connecticut, his daughter Elizabeth Hazel Graham of Lubbock, Texas, as well as a grandson, Indiana Graham.
John was born in Brunswick, Maine, to the late Louis Seel Pryor and June Conte Pryor. John grew up in New Canaan, CT, and graduated from New Canaan High School in 1981.
John will be remembered as a deeply caring soul with a photographic memory, a wild imagination, a remarkable sense of humor and a fondness for wordplay. Those who knew him will remember his unabashed love of music, movies, electronics, engineering, and the mysteries of the ocean, as well as his lasting devotion to his closest family and friends. In his prime, John was an exemplary athlete who excelled in football, wrestling, and cross country.
John held many different roles throughout his life but was most proud of his service to his country, as an experienced radio communications operator in the US Army, stationed in Texas and Germany. John was a giant of a man in stature, who battled through difficult passages throughout his life, with his soft and sentimental heart intact.
John's family requests that donations be made in his memory to The American Diabetes Association.
