My dad, Joe Paul, worked for Pat & his mother and delivered for Mark cross the way when I was a teen at NCHS around 1960. Patsy always stood out as the kindest, well adjusted, finest human beings I'd ever met. A positive example for many. Was great he had the nice long life he so deserved. My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace.

I remember when I was 5 years old Pat playing with me in the grocery store where my mom helped. He made me laugh and his smile will always be remembered.
Peace and comfort to Carmela, Patricia and Gary

PATSY TOTARO
April 22, 2020
What a sad loss to the fabric of this community! Patsy and his wife, Carmella DiPanni Totaro were, for many years, the king and queen of Elm Street! Their store, which seemed to be a mini-Arthur Avenue, had hard to find items and everything sold was top quality. But, perhaps the the feeling of family that one got when shopping in their store was as important as the quality of the food they offered. For those of us who are lifetime or even longtime residents of New Canaan, we will miss the happy smile, the jokes and the affection this good man showed us all. Be at peace, Pat. Love, the Joe Hussey,Sr. family.

I recently came across a picture of me about the age of 3, that my mom, your Aunt Jennie, sent to you when you were in the military. You were special to my family and me. Many years have passed since I have last seen you but I will always remember your beautiful smile and happy disposition.
Rest In Peace.
