Dominic Edward Totaro, age 82, passed away at his home in Silver Spring, MD on July 14th, 2025.

Born April 5, 1943, in Washington, DC, Son of Edward and Grace Totaro. Dominic lived in Washington, DC. Attended Nativity Catholic Academy until the age of 14, then moved to Aspen Hill, MD where he attended Wheaton High School, graduating in 1961. Dominic began working in the trade field of plumbing, as a helper/apprentice to then become a Master Plumber and Steamfitter (Local 602). Dominic was known to all for his knowledge, expertise, and ability in the trade fields. He was always up for the challenge to fix/figure out any tasks at hand.

Dominic married Judith Bowles in 1965, together they had 4 children, setting up home in Silver Spring, MD. Dominic is survived by sons Charles Totaro (Julie), Dominic Totaro Jr (Tracy), and Edward Totaro (Sherri). Grandchildren, Kenny, Vinny (Courtney), Chucky (Amberly), Gianna Parenti (Anthony), Daniella, Dominic III, Alyssa, Carly, and Sophia. Great Grandchildren, Ellie, Vinny, Ava, Emma, Mason & Sonny. Dominic was preceded in death by brother Charles Totaro, Sisters, Josephine Grimaldi, Vivian Sierer and Stepson Scott Newton.

Dominic's true love was his FAMILY. He was a man that loved his children and grandchildren wholeheartedly and unconditionally. He was filled with generosity, Kindness & Silliness.

We will cherish our memories, how he impacted our lives, the stories of his silly, stubborn moments that will keep us laughing for decades.

We are overwhelmingly heartbroken of his death, finding comfort that he is with the Lord and his brother Charlie he so deeply missed.

My sincere condolences to his family. He was a very good friend of the Caruso family and did a lot of work for us at the house we grew up in. Especially close to my sister, Anita and her husband, Frank. May he rest in eternal peace and God bless him.
