Edward Joseph Moore, Jr., 74, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD, surrounded by loving family.

Born on September 18, 1950 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Helen (Behler) and Edward Joseph Moore, Sr.

Edd graduated from Wheaton High School, class of 1969.

Edd retired from Ft. Detrick as a Maintenance Technician after 20 years of service.

Edd was a member of the Tribe of Judah, The Shofar Army, and Christian Life Destiny Church where he also served as an Ordained Deacon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra D. (Williams) Moore; Children, Karen Colabucci and husband, Michael, of Walkersville, MD; William Jones of Smithsburg, MD; and David Upton and wife, Barbi, of Hagerstown, MD; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Angie Dwork (Andy); and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783, with Pastor Lynn Gaither and Pastor Don Kretzer officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park and Menorah Gardens, Rockville, MD.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com.
