Nancy Wilson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy Lou Wilson, at 4:50 a.m. on June 23, 2012, at Hoag Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. Her ashes will be held until the passing of her husband, Michael E. Wilson, should occur, at which time, their ashes will be mixed together and spread out over the ocean in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 4, 1944 in Indianapolis, where she was adopted by John and Laura White of Kentland. it was discovered recently after her mother's death, that she was actually one of six children, some of whom are still living and she had the pleasure of meeting.
Mrs. Wilson attended Alexander J. Kent High School, Class of 1962, where she was a cheerleader and a Newton County Fair Queen. She married Michael E. Wilson of Kentland on Feb. 22, 1962, and recently the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they had two girls, Michele Suzanne Wilson of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Deanna Dee Davenport of Murrieta, Calif., as well as two grandchildren, Brittney Michele Wilson and Shenay Stacy Hooton, also of Huntington Beach, Calif.
She received her AA degree in may of 1996 from Orange Coast College and retired from Dole Pineapple/Castle & Cooke Foods after 33 years in 2003. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Vada Wilson of Brookston, and Jeff Wilson of Bedford, and Jack and Suzie Swank of Azusa, Calif. She loved golfing, fishing and now is another bright star in the sky looking over all of us.

I recently heard about Nancy's passing and wish to send my condolences to Mike and family. Nancy and I were cheerleaders together and shared many fun times together. I'm certain her loving family has many wonderful memories that will help them through this difficult time. May God Bless.

I was so shocked to learn of Nancy's passing. I will pray for Nancy and Mike and her family. She was such ray of light when we were in high school. She will be missed. May God Bless each of you and keep you all wrapped in his arms. I am sure each of you have wonderful memories of your wife, mother, and grandmother as I have. Marsha
