Lucy Marie Jubinski passed away peacefully at home at age 94 on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Jubinski, Sr. to whom she was married for 66 years.
She was born in Scranton on March 6, 1929, and was a 1947 graduate of Falls-Overfield High School.
Lucy cared deeply for her family and friends. Her joy in life was raising her three children and later helping to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She had a tremendous green thumb and was well-known for her baking, especially crostata. Lucy Loved to shop and spent many weekends out and about. She also made daily trips to Gerrity's in Clark Summit where she loved chatting with the employees, and they became like a second family to her. Lucy was also a member of Lake Winola United Methodist Church.
Lucy was preceded in death by a son, Chris; great-grandson, Xavier Gorham; and her mother, Mable VanAuken.
The joy of Lucy's life were her children: Sharon Georgetti and fiancé Lenny and Alexander Jubinski, Sr. and wife Lynn; grandchildren: Tina Gorham and Husband Victor, Tim Georgetti and wife Colleen, Alexander Jubinski III, Cody Minicozzi and wife Kendra, Michaellien Ginter and husband Cory, and Samantha Seidel; and five great-grandchildren: Rylinn, Sophia, Liam, Tynlie, and Ace.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Lake Winola United Methodist Church or the Lake Winola Fire Company.
Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family at the Mountain View Cemetery, Harding.
