Sandra George Obituary

Sandra Fuller George, 83, of Yorba Linda, Calif., died on Dec. 17, 2013, when she succumbed to Parkinson's disease.
Sandy was married to the late Thomas Henry George. The George's were long-time residents of Tunkhannock.
Sandy is survived by two children: Thomas George of Reading, and Mary Ruth Weisner of Yorba Linda, Calif. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Audra Freeland, and three great-grandsons: Jared, Brent and Paxton, all living in Yorba Linda, Calif.
Mrs. George was a graduate of Meshoppen High School in 1948 and Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She worked as an R.N. at both Clark Summit State Hospital and the State Correctional Facility in Dallas. Sandy spent most of her retirement in Sun City Center, Fla., prior to moving to Yorba Linda, Calif., in 2010.
Services will be held at Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main Street, Meshoppen, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Vickie Ellis, of the Beaver Meadows United Methodist Church officiating. Sandy will be interred at Jersey Hill Cemetery in Auburn Center.

What a great friend Sandy was to us, she had more courage than most ladies, waited on in that wheelchair, we had great admiration for Sandy.
