Chester Hook Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Chester L. Hook will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5-8pm on Tuesday, May 30 at the funeral home.
Chester, age 86, of Newark, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 31, 1930 to the late Leonard and Amanda (Hogue) Hook in Tremble, OH.
Chester retired from Anheuser Busch after 25 years. He loved horses and spending time with his family. Chester was a long time member of Licking County Horse Council, Teamsters Union, MOMSAR, and very active in the local 4-H.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Tami) Hook, Rodney (Chris) Hook, Carolyn Miller, Elizabeth (Phil) Victor, and Tammy (Edwin) Redman; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Chester is preceded in death by his wife Susan; brothers, Leonard Hook, Jr and Richard Hook; sisters, Glenna Mae Hook and Eileen Hook; and granddaughter Crystal Dawn Carpenter.
