He is survived by his wife, Helen Thomas Evans; children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Service follows the Visitation at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Jace L. Cox officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: King Solomon Lodge No.1 in the name of Frank Evans, Sr., PO Box 218, New Bern, N.C. 28563.
Arrangements are by Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern.
