Paul Yeager Obituary

Paul G. Yeager, 77, of Havelock died Wednesday at his home.

He owned and operated Cardinal Realty in Havelock for over 20 years and was a retired U. S. Marine Corps sergeant major who saw active combat duty in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member and former post commander of VFW Post 7315 in Havelock, VFW Post 7315 MOCPT3, the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Shooter Association, the Lions Club of Havelock and the Fleet Reserve Association of Havelock.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodbridge Funeral Home Chapel in Havelock with the Rev. Dan Oschwald and Steven Smith officiating. A private cremation will follow.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Yeager of Havelock; four daughters, Patricia Goodwin of Oklahoma City, Okla., Christine Yeager of Emerald Isle, Kathleen Yeager-Hayden of Havelock and Paula Yeager of Havelock; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Annunciation Catholic Parish School Fund, VFW Post 7315 Relief Fund, or The Craven County Hospice.

Woodbridge Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
