Liam Blackler Obituary
Liam Lamb K. Blackler, 33, son, brother, friend and Dungeon Master, left this earthly realm on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Liam was born in New Britain on March 27, 1992, and was the son of Kevin and Maureen (Gormley) Blackler who reside in Virginia. Liam graduated from Bristol Eastern H.S., Class of 2010 where he played lacrosse and UConn Class of 2014 where he achieved his B.A. He was employed as a car salesman working first for Suresky Motors (his favorite) and
then Johnston's Subaru both in Goshen, NY. There were many sides to Liam, some of them were; Avid motorcycle rider (very safety conscious), loved the ocean and anything nautical (especially octopuses), video game player, amature chef (he loved to create tasty dishes), expert Lego builder (his living room was a museum with all of the Lego Kits he built) and lover of Indie Music (especially calm, sexy music). His appearance was fine tuned. He was a sharp dresser who took great pride in his clothing and especially his hair. Liam was also funny and tried his hand at stand-up. A lover of animals, his rescue cat, Linus, had been in a shelter for over 3 years before Liam found and made him his forever fur companion. The movie Dune and superheroes were also a big favorite of his, which leads to Friday nights at Liam's house. Here, Liam would assume the role of Dungeon Master, creating adventures for his friends to play out. It was Liam's favorite world to be in and he ruled it his way. Friday nights just wont be the same. Besides his parents, Liam is survived by his brother Joshua and his wife Deanna of Bristol, his girlfriend Brittany Bennett, his cat Linus and a host of various aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Calling hours for Liam will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 with a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m.. Burial will be private.
