Teresa Napolitano Obituary

BRISTOL

Teresa (Pollastro) Napolitano, 93, of Bristol, widow of Fred Napolitano, died peacefully on Wednesday (August 13, 2025). Teresa was born on October 7, 1931, in Italy and was a daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria (Santacroce) Pollastro. She attended school in Italy before immigrating to the United States and settling in Bristol in 1956, including she attended school to obtain her US citizenship. Additionally, in Italy, she worked alongside her siblings on their family farm, which was the sole source of income to support their family. Teresa was a very hard-working person and worked for many industrial companies, including Wasley Products, GE, New Departure Division, and her last place of employment before retirement was, the Barnes Group. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish devoted to St. Anthony Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and volunteered to work the Italian Festival every year. Teresa is survived by her son: John Napolitano of Bristol; two brothers: Michael Pollastro and

wife, Giovanna and Giuseppe Pollastro, both of Italy; two sisters-in-law: Veronica and Maria Pollastro; two grandchildren: Amber Napolitano and husband, Dominic Pellegrino and Tyler Napolitano; one great-grandchild: Hayes Pellegrino; former daughter-in-law: Susan Napolitano; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings: Stephano Pollastro, Sabatino Pollastro, and Anna Kinney; brother-in-law: Gerald Kinney; and sister-in-law: Pina Pollastro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday between 10 and 11 a.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
