Glenn Knapp Obituary
May 26, 1943 – August 11, 2023
Glenn Francis Knapp, age 80, of New Milford, CT, passed away peacefully at the Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT on August 11, 2023. Glenn was born on May 26, 1943 in Mount Kisco, NY and was the son of the late Howard Knapp and Mary Lundy Knapp.
Glenn grew up in Brewster, NY and graduated from Brewster High School, Class of 1961. He worked in the automotive industry in Brewster, NY and Danbury, CT while working to become a police officer. He held roles as a police officer in Brewster, NY and New Milford, CT. Throughout his life his combined his passion for cars and public service with jobs at Hayes Chevrolet, Levine Automotive and as a Constable in Bridgewater finishing his career at Mannkind Corporation in Security. He was a Nascar enthusiast and fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Glenn is survived by wife Bonnie (Ferry) Knapp of New Milford, CT; daughter Cheryl Granoff and son-in-law Hal Granoff; son Christopher Knapp and former spouse Shawn (Scroggs) Knapp; grandsons Logan and Noah Granoff and granddaughters Harper and Marley Knapp.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Regional Hospice – CT in Danbury, CT.

I worked with Glenn at the NMPD in the 1980s. Glenn was a very smart guy and an even keeled Officer and later Sergeant. I have fond memories of working with him. Condolences to the family-

I was lucky enough to work with Glenn at Auto Motion, Carquest and Levine's. He always had a good story to tell and he brightened everyone's day.The last time I saw Glenn was in 2016 when my father was having some rehab at a local nursing home. They got to know each other and I am sure they exchanged some stories about cars and trucks. He will be greatly missed and my condolences to his family at this time.

I was so saddened today to read about Glenn's passing. I worked with Glenn when he was security guard at MannKind Corporation. I had always enjoyed our many, many conversations during my years there. He was a very passionate man and so full of nice stories and always had something to talk about. I really liked seeing him and enjoyed talking with him when I would stop at the security gate or seeing him having lunch in the lunchroom. Such a sweet soul Glenn was.
I send my deep sincere condolences to his wife and family. Glenn was a good man. xx
