Roger Gagnon Obituary

Roger Joseph Gagnon
January 23, 1938 - February 18, 2025
Roger Joseph Gagnon passed away in his sleep on Tuesday morning February 18, 2025. Roger grew up in Fall River, MA, where he was born. He attended Durfee High School and graduated from the Bradford Durfee College of Technology (now University of Massachusetts Dartmouth) with a B.S. in Textile Engineering. Roger was a veteran having served in the Naval Reserves.
He moved to Connecticut for a job at Ethan Allen and went on to spend the majority of his life in New Milford, later moving to Old Saybrook. Roger's passion was his career in textile sales. It brought him all over the country and led him to open two of his own businesses, Roger Gagnon Company and Fabric Imports, LLC. Roger loved being on the road for his job, and traveled often. Roger was a lover of art and collected many paintings over the years. He loved seafood and was always willing to travel for a lobster roll or to the nearest clam shack.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lydia and Joseph Gagnon, his sister, Diane Gagnon, and his first grandson, Kyle Gagnon. He is survived by his five children: Jeffrey Gagnon, David Gagnon (Heather), Nicole Gagnon (Marco Caffuzzi), Renata Kennedy (John), and Alessia Gagnon and his seven grandchildren: Nicholas and Cassidy Gagnon, Isabella and Carlo Caffuzzi, Luciana, Patrick, and Colin Kennedy. His is also survived by his former wife, Carolyn Barbolini, and his sisters, Jean Bush of Marlboro, MA and Doris Worthington of North Dartmouth, MA, and several nieces of nephews.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
