Bob Noxon Obituary

BENTON, Ky. - Bob Noxon, 81 of Benton, Ky., formerly of St. George, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at home.

Bob was born in Gibson City on March 11, 1942, to the late Robert Noxon and Vera Reynolds Noxon. He worked as a divisional claims superintendent for State Farm Insurance. In his younger days, Bob enjoyed showing and riding horses. He loved spending time working in his workshop, piddling around the yard and driving his tractor.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Noxon and wife Michele; daughters, Katrina Gamueda-Smith and Jill Oman; and longtime companion, Dana Benson.

After moving to Kentucky, Bob received tremendous love and support from his nieces, nephews and friends in the area.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Jodi Buckalew; brothers, Don Noxon and Paul "Butch" Noxon; two sisters, Shirley Irene Moryl and Claudette "Kay" Karr; and his parents.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Collier Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, Benton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W. Fifth St., Benton.
