URBANA - John Yearsley, 78, of Urbana died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, in Gainesville, Fla.
Funeral services for the Army veteran will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2200 Philo Road, U. Pastor Paul Chapman and Patricia Justice will officiate. Burial will be in Yearsley Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Road, U, is in charge of arrangements.

My condolences to Emmett and all the family, may fond memories ease the sorrow of the passing of John. I didn't know John but rode the school bus with Howard and Martha during our school years. I remember well Howard's jovial nature.
