Lloyd Kellems Obituary
DIBOLL, Texas - Lloyd R. Kellems, born Jan. 12, 1954, has passed away on Aug. 23, 2024, at his home in Diboll.
He was married to Marilyn Gaines Kellems, and they shared 38 wonderful years together.
He was born in Owensboro, Ky., to the late Charles Kellems Sr. and Daisy Kellems of Villa Grove. He was a 1973 graduate of Villa Grove High School. Lloyd was a retired over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Villa Grove. He enjoyed time with his family and going to church.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, John (Courtenay) Shrum Jr. of Diboll and Jeffery Golightly of Villa Grove; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Casper (Mary Lou) Kellems of Villa Grove, Jim (Julie) Kellems of Urbana and Murray Kellems of Rockford; and one sister, Debbie (David) Scott of Tuscola. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Kellems Jr. and Albert Kellems; and a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Kay Adkins.
Celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church of Villa Grove on Oct. 19, with the visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. followed immediately with a memorial service at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
