John Barstow Obituary

Age 74, of Garrettsville OH, passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2022. He born May 17, 1947 in Chester Twp to Thomas and Helen (nee: Sampson) Barstow. John was an avid drag car racer and loved to garden in his spare time. He served in the Air Force in the early 60s. He will be missed dearly by friends, family, and his companion Pooter the cat.He is survived by his sister Julia Ann (Gilbert) Gribble, sister-in-law Judith Barstow, brother-in-law George Sherbondy, niece and caregiver Barbara Hrobak and many nieces and nephewsJohn is preceded by his parents Thomas and Helen, Brothers Frederick, Thomas, and Richard, sisters Catherine Schulz and Betty Jo Sherbondy, and in infant Barbara Jean.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
