Luke Hellerman Obituary

Luke Hellerman, age 75, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, worked 24 years at Addressograph-Multigraph and the was co-owner of Lu Tucci's Restaurant and Lounge in Painesville Township for 20 years.
He was a builder...of family, of marriage and of dreams. His gentleness towards others was his greatest trait. Some people come into our lives and quickly go while others stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Linda (nee Tucci); his greatest joys, his son, Donny (Nancy) Hellerman of Painesville Township; and his daughters, Kim (Tod) Hersman of Painesville Township, Debbie (Deaner) Dominish of Grand River, Cheri (Bill) Collins of Grand River; and his first wife, Carol. He also leaves his wonderful grandchildren, D.J., Matt, Scott, Brittany, Nicole, Katie, Susan and Corey; stepgrandson, Dennis; and sisters, Eva (George) Bruck of Willoughby and Peg (Gordon) Maiden of Henderson, Nev.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Margaret (Babe).
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Pastor Tom Johns will officiate. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. Willoughby.
A special thank you to Dr. Kostraba, Dr. Greenfield and their wonderful staff and for the "living" Angels of Hospice of the Western Reserve, especially to "My Mary."

Dearest Linda and Family, I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Luke, please accept our most sincere condolences. In the very short time that I was blessed to have known him, I immediately realized what a kind spirit he was. Linda, I will always be thankful for the moments we three shared together, and your kindness and help in holding the restaurant together for my son Adam and myself. With love and respect

Luke was such a great friend to my father. He was always available to help my dad with any project he had. I will always appreciate his hard work especially when I look at the beautiful crown moulding he helped to install at my home. My dad has always loved a good project and really enjoyed building working with Luke on whatever project that any of us came up with. Heaven is blessed with a very special Angel, thank you to his family for sharing him. ~ Cindy Lynch Shaffer
