Born to An­

tone and Lucy Amaral February

28, 1939 in Fall River, Mass. He

was a mason contractor for sev­

eral years. He was also a build­

ing inspector in Dartmouth,

Mass. and Wareham, Mass. Ar­

thur moved to Florida in 1984

with his family. He was a build­

ing inspector in Ormond Beach

and in DeLand and then became

the Chief Building Official for six

years until his retirement in Feb.

2002. He enjoyed fishing and

spending time with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his

memory his adoring wife of 47

years, Mary; four sons, Michael

(Joyce) of Dartmouth, Mass,

Robert, Daytona Beach, Steven,

Tampa and Christopher, Port

Orange. In lieu of flowers, the

family would appreciate dona­

tions be made to the Diabetes

Association or Halifax Medical

Center Building fund. Arrange­

ments are under the care and

trust of Volusia Memorial Funer­

al Home, 4815 Clyde Morris

Blvd, Port Orange.
