Andrea
I do not believe we have ever met , just googled you Dad and found out af his passing. We were first Cousins, his Dad and my Mother were Bro and Sis.Bill spent many summer vacations with us at our farm in Denton Ky we were like Brothers during that time in our lives. As we matured and moved on with our lives we mostly lost contact. I guess we talked a few times and he stayed with us when his Dad died. I guess our next visit was when we visited him in Delano in 1979 or 80. The last telephone call was in 2000 when my Mom passed. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Bill was my boss (Armstrong State College), a mentor, and most - a friend. When I returned home from Vietnam, I enrolled at Armstrong and since I was a bit older than other students, I sought some job opportunity. He and I hit it off and I was his "business manager" for the department. We traveled together all over the US and on a basketball tour of the Islands. I was there for the birth of Andrea. We shared a lot of highs and lows together.
He will be missed.
RIP Coach Alexander.

Bill has been a friend of my family for many years, going back to his college days. I always enjoyed hearing him playing his guitar and singing. He had a deep, resonant voice. One of my favorites was when he sang "Old Shep" and another was "Mary Ann"...."only 5 more miles to Mary Ann", then only 3 more miles, and so on. I am not even sure if I have the title right, but I always enjoyed hearing him sing that "tear jerker". He also had a good sense of humor. He stayed in my home during the year he taught at Lake Worth High School. I surely enjoyed his company. It was a pleasure, and an experience, knowing Bill. Rest in peace, my friend.
