Jimmie Lee Davis
12/21/2018
Jimmie Lee Davis, 83, a native of Daytona Beach and lifelong resident of the area, passed away on December 21st in Orange City. Jimmie was a proud veteran, retiring a Master Sergeant from the Army National Guard after 35 years of service. He also retired from Bell South as a cable repairman, worked security at Daytona International Speedway, and served the community as a Reserve Daytona Beach Police Officer. Jimmie enjoyed spending his spare time helping others. He was a member of the Glenwood Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the American Radio Relay League - HAM Radio. He received the highest adult award, the Silver Beaver. He mentored many throughout his life and left a lasting impression on all those who knew him. Jimmie is remembered best by his loved ones and friends as a great story teller, an avid lover of nature, and a generous and loving man. Jimmie was a good man and there are many good men in this world because of his love, leadership, support, and friendship. Jimmie's most cherished treasures in life were his family and friends. May the God of all comfort sustain your family during the days ahead Psalms 119:76

December 30, 2018

As a former Boy Scout of troop 475, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Davis. He was a true leader of men and a very valuable part of many of young men lives. I still brag about our troop canoe trips down the Suwannee River and other memories and lessons learned from being a member of his troop. Rest in peace Mr. Davis and my most sincere condolences to his friends and family, and all should feel proud to know even in his passing much of his character is still alive in the lives of many.

So very sorry to hear of Jimmie's passing. We spent a lot of time with Jimmie while involved with the Boy Scouts. We know he positively impacted the lives of many, many young men and he will be remembered and missed by them all. We pray God comforts his family and friends during this difficult time.
