Joaco Rivera Obituary

Joaco Lee Rivera, 27, was born July 5, 1981, and entered into his next life August 31, 2008. Joaco was a long time resident of Lake Helen and is survived by his mother, Lorri Lusk, Lake Helen, his father, Joaquin Rivera, Daytona Beach; two brothers, Rico Rivera and Joshua Rivera, both of Lake Helen; and his sister, Mai Chared Rivera, Clermont, Fla. Joaco had a zest for life. He enjoyed his friends and family and he loved surfing, skateboarding and playing his bass guitar. Though his life was taken in a blink of an eye, his lessons of love and family will always remain with us. His loss will be greatly felt among his friends and family. The family asks that you join them in a celebration of his life on Thursday, September 4, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in Orange City. A viewing will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The family will meet following the service at the Wharf at the Artisan for a time of reflection and conversation.

Joaco Lee,

I can’t believe we never met. Your cousins Anya and Yalisa are like sisters to me. If I want to smile, I think of your wacky aunts Rosana and Ilsa and their adventures. I know all about the crush Noelia had on you when you guys were little, I’ve met your dad and I’ve heard Jonathan mention you lots of times. I guess that’s why I feel like I knew you.

Please know that you are missed and that you will be remembered today and always with every conversation, every memory, every photo. I look forward to a day when we have a chance to meet.

Love,

Ilsa Mar Olivar

Love Love Love always thank you for all the good times we had together. With Love, Titi Ilsa

Hola Joaco Lee:

Remembering Joaco Lee:
Oh yes, you were special to me and you will always be remember and you will never be forgotten. You left a void deep in my heart and the pain is to hard to explain.
The time we share, the long conversations, the many laughs and yes the fights, all them I treasure deep in my heart.
When I set you free to go home, I never would thought I will never see you again, I would of never let you go. I only knew that your titi was on overload and I could not handle it, I think you understood. Pupo and Grandma were always there for you and you were there for them when they needed you, I love you and We thank you for all your help. It was the most peaceful moments I had to myself when you were with us. I thought you were my Angel and yes, now, You are my Angel.
I will lift up my heart and peace be to thee God wanted you now and He set you free. I miss you and I will love you forever.Grandma,Titi Fo and Pupo

Laurie, Josh, and Rico~
I know that words can't even come close to how we all feel about Joaco. There are so many storys to share, The one thing I miss the most about him is his positive attitude on life, He was always there for any of his friends and family. He made me see that family is who you make it. I could call Joaco at 1 or 3 in the morning ~ which I did alot;) ~ and I just knew he was going to answer. He was the love of my life, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of his for so long. He really changed my world for the better.. and I know that I'm a better person for having known him and his family. You guys will always be a part of my family and in my heart. I love you guys so much.. you too Rox and Otis!
Laurie~ I'll see you soon..
Joaco~ I love you baby and I look forward to the day..

I knew Joac through JR [who is like a big brother to me]. He was such a good person, still is. I know he will watch over his loved ones while he is relaxing in a better place. I will never forget him and neither will anyone who has met him. I willnever forget all the days and nights on the porch and in the attick with him and friends. We love you Joac. Watch over us and keep your mom and brothers safe.

Joaco Lee was like a brother to me he watched me grow up and was there when my dad died. He was my uncles brother and one of his most dear best friends. I know now that he will be taken care of because he is with someone very special and I know that he will watch over everyone that he knew and loved, my heart goes out to all.

Joaco, Lori, Joshua & Rico, our apologies for not being there, but we were told about Joaco Lee yesterday Sept 14. There are no words that can calm your pain. That is a wound that will never heal; you just get used to live with the pain. Especially you Lori, talk to him because now he is the Guardian Angel watching over you guys.
We have a lot of good memories together that will never let him be forgotten.
May God bless him, and you guys in these difficult days.
We will love you always;

Dear Lorri, Joaco, and Family,
I remember Joaco Lee as a toddler coming over to visit and playing with our Christopher when you lived with Ana and Pupo. He was such a cute little guy and full of energy. I can't imagine what you are going through at this time, but know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Roberta and Bill Burns

oh lorrie, joshua and rico, my heart hurts for you. know what pain you are feeling. know what you have to go through. biggest ow in the world. it never gets better, never gets easyier; you just learn to live with it. what a life to take, what a bond to break, every day we'll be missing him. we know he's in heaven, smiling down on us. and some day we will see him again. as a momma who has lost her son, too, i know we have to believe this. i am here for you, i have been there and know what it is like. what we wouldn't give for just one more night on the porch with our baby, our son, our brother....

I have so many beautiful, fun memories of Joaco. I will never forget him being the Pastor in the school play. He loved Bible time and was always the best at scripture memory.
I pray God will be with all of you at this time and in the days to come.

To the family,

I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel
For the loss of someone you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal
And you’re looking for strength from above.

I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease,
That your spirit will gain strength again,
And I pray that your faith will create inner peace
And that God will send blessings--Amen.

Till then, if you need me to lighten your load,
I’m waiting to come to your aid.
Just call on me, and I’ll walk down that road,
Until the dark times start to fade.

With deepest sympathies,

bethany
