PAUL MARKHAM Obituary
Paul Markham, 85, of Port Orange, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2010, in the presence of his devoted family. Born to Aaron and Myrtle White Markham in Portland, New York in 1925. Paul was pre-deceased by his parents and his eight siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Helen; his children: David (Paula), Bradley (Yolanda), Diana (William) Ferguson, and Paul (Sally Jane) Markham; grandchildren include: Kelly Coons, Michael, Colin, Shannon, and Leah Markham, Michelle Purvis, Cindy Itkoff, April Hanstine, and Leslie Fouts; 19 great-grandchildren also survive. Paul honored his country as a veteran of World War II , serving with the Coast Guard in the South Pacific. Paul and Helen raised their four children on the family grape farm in West Portland, New York . Paul also worked for the Westfield School system prior to moving to Daytona Beach Florida in 1970. He , along with his son, owned and operated several service stations. Always inventing and challenging his mind, Paul was an avid photographer, as well as being a computer enthusiast. As an adventurer he enjoyed motor cycling, fishing, and flying with son David on his ultralight. An intensely devoted family man, Paul was an active member of the Oasis Christ Fellowship Church. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 1:00 Saturday, Aug. 21 at Oasis Christ Fellowship, South Timber Creek Road, Ormond Beach. The family suggests any donations be directed to the Oasis Christ Fellowship Church.

It's hard to believe it has been almost a year that you have been gone. Not a day goes by that we don't think of your smile, Daddy jokes and just the fun we always had when we were all together. You left us with such a great legacy, that the important things in life are not things but the love of your family and friends. Mr. Paul was a life long friend of my Uncle John and though I only knew him briefly, I know that he will be missed by all of his family and friends. My heart goes out to Miss Helen, Paul and Sally and the rest of his family.
