REGINALD BRYAN Obituary

Home Going Services for Reginald R. Bryan, Jr. who entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 28, 2013, will be 12pm Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Mt. Calvary FWBC, 710 Cincinnati Ave., DeLand, FL. Burial will follow the service at Community Cemetery, DeLand, FL. Visitation hours are 4-7pm Friday (today), at Unity Funeral Home and 10am until service time Saturday at the church. Mr. Reggie Jr. was born in DeLand, FL to Golda Humphrey and Reginald Renard Bryan, Sr. on June 6, 1989. At age 6, Reginald received Christ and was baptized at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church, DeLand, FL. He attended local high schools in Volusia County, and graduated from Light House Christian Academy in 2008, and furthered his education by attending Grambling State University in New Orleans, LA, where he studied Kinesiology/Sports Medicine. In 2010 Reginald relocated to Oak Lawn, IL, where he was employed by CPS (Chicago Public Schools) where he proudly served as a Security Guard as well as was selected as Head Coach of the Lady Spartans Softball Team. Within one year, the formally struggling team became champions under his direction and dedication. Most recently, Reginald made the decision to enroll at IBEN Technical Institute in Alsip, IL. where he pursed his certification as an Electrician. Reginald leaves to cherish his memory: "Daddy's Little Girl", Railah Mone` Bryan of Chicago, IL; two of the worlds most devoted and loving parents, Ms. Golda Humphrey, and Mr. Reginald Renard Bryan, Sr. (Anastasia); The "Special Lady in his life", Charnell Burell of Chicago, IL; two loving sisters, Deja Padgett and Alexa Bryan; two brothers, Jamal Bryan and Reshun Tyson; grandparents: Betty Humphrey and The Late Leon Humphrey; Mr. Milton and Ella Bryan; aunts: Sharron Ross (Lorenzo), Donna Gibson, Belinda Dykes (Adrian); Gwandria Tillman, Camille Hutto (Cleo); uncles: Austin Bryan (Sophia), Robert Gibson, Warner Smith (Tameka), Kelly Gibson (Wendy) and Wilbert Hoskins; great-aunts: Ida Baily, Eurlean Monroe., Monica Sharp, Emma Jean Williams., Bertha Bragg., Resella Hunter; great-uncle: Delunor Gibson, (3) great-great-aunts: Mabel Stafford., Ethel Moody, and Alice Hines; (2) great-great-uncles: Amos Gibson., Reginald Bryan; a host of cousins, loved ones and friends....A special shout out to the "Oak Boys" and the "Florida Boys". To my family, I miss so much by not living in DeLand ounce we moved to Atlanta, but I still have my memories and all of them make me smile I think of my lil cuz a lot and all our family members who are with our father God.
