Rich was a very special friend. We all reconnected on a vacation to Seattle and San Juan islands and have celebrated birthdays, Thanksgiving and New Years together and even a special trip to great Britain. His stories about all his various animals and racing car experiences always kept us entertained and laughing. Being a Masonic brother to Rich was also a part of my special relationship which included driving with him. He was a great friend and will be sorely missed.

I only knew Rich for a few short months when I moved in next to him and Jane earlier this year. He welcomed me to the neighborhood with open arms. He brought me a plant and moved his bluebird house to my tree. He loved the renovations I was doing and I'm sorry that he won't be able to see it when it's finished. I'll always think of him when the bluebirds visit.

Our paths crossed only a few times--Rich (Levene) and Emily's wedding, Jordyn and Ryan's graduations--but we always enjoyed spending time with Rich and Jane. Quiet times among the frenzy and celebration of those important events led to interesting conversation and shared stories! We know Rich meant a great deal to all in his family and that lessons from his life's example will live on in those who knew and loved him. We express our deepest sympathies to Jane and the rest of Rich's cherished family.

I’ve known Rich for 41 years. We met in Phoenix...part of a group of people looking to improve our lives. Rich as I was an only child so he suggested we adopt each other. So from that day on I was ‘sis’. Some years ago (35 or so) I went to visit him in Atlanta. He took me out on his boat and that day he saved my life. I was snorkeling in shallow water and there were several boats around. A young fellow was standing behind his boat working on it...propellers going. Rich was watching and as that boat ran over me he shouted at the young man to pull his boat back. Just as the propellers hit my legs, the boat moved back. Bruises only. Serious but bruises only. My husband Les and I went to Rich and Jane’s wedding and in my 76 years that’s the only wedding where the tears flowed...uncontrolled Some years later when Les and I got married they went all the way to ND for our wedding. Rich was a great friend and ‘brother’

I met Rich when he started dating my dear friend Jane. Rich always had a smile on his face, would speak to anyone and everyone as long as you wanted to stay in his presence. Rich and Jane were made for each other and I am so fortunate to have known him and he enriched Jane's life to the fullest. Rich will always be in my heart and know that he'll always watch over Jane and family from up above. He is at peace now and forever.

He was the most generous person giving of his time, knowledge, friendship and caring for us mortals on this Earth. I will miss his wonderful funny cards and messages he sent to me.

He was my stepfather and loved dearly. Now as an adult, I realize he always went above and beyond to make Birthdays celebrations extra special. We had many pets that I'm sure infuenced my love for animals now. During graduate studies in Florida, I was able to re-connect with him and Jane and couldn't be more thankful for their love and support. I will forever cherish the good times with Dad, but am thankful he is at peace. Thanks Dad, from the bottom of my heart. With love, always. The Great Robini (his name for me).
