Shirley Charles Obituary

Shirley J. Charles, 72, Port Orange, FL passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at her residence. Shirley was a cake decorator for over 30 years. She loved to read, travel and working with her favorite charities which include the Bobby Creek Camp, Domestic Abuse, Hospice, U.K. Basketball, Detroit Pistons and St. Jude's Hospital. She was a member of LCE #409 Auxiliary where she was past president, VFW Post 3282, American Legion Auxiliary, graduated fro AMVETS 911, Eagles # 4089 where she served many officer positions. She is predeceased by her mother, Louise Baber, father, Clyde Demaree, three sons, David, Russell and Wesley Kidwell all of Lexington, and her husband, Ronald. She is survived by son, Thomas Kidwell and daughter, Debra Lowe both of Lexington; six grandsons; and three great-granddaughters, all of Lexington; and very close friend, Syl Weinclaw. Service and burial will follow in Lexington, KY. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Cardwell Funeral Home.
